From 15th May the Halton Vocational Project will be delivering a 2-week programme of activity for a group of local NEET individuals. 

This will be delivered from the Halton Stadium with support from the Widnes Vikings Community Development Workers.  The programme will include a full range of informative and inspirational activities, which will hopefully motivate attendees into returning to education or to seek employment with training:

• Motivation
• Visits to Learning Providers including the College and 6th Form
• Visits to employers who embrace staff development and facilitate progression
• Progression routes within vocational learning
• Apprenticeships
• CV / personal statement writing
• University visit
• Interview skills
• Social skills
• Action planning with Connexions staff

In order to celebrate completion of the programme, each individual will be invited to attend the Widnes Vikings V Doncaster Lakers rugby league game along with two guests on the afternoon of Sunday 11th June, where they will be presented with a certificate on the pitch during half-time.
